Description
A secluded and romantic hideaway, Driftwood Cottage is a beautiful, traditional Caribbean cottage with large verandah, surrounded by magnificently lush tropical gardens.
It is the perfect place to relax??a splendidly large pool and jacuzzi is just a couple of steps from the verandah. Its large deck is spectacularly surrounded by palms and bougainvillea, orchids and lily ponds. The energetic can swim, the less-so inclined can just dip in every now and then as they retire to the loungers and soak up the sun.
The fabulously large verandah is ideal for enjoying meals, sipping a rum-punch sundowner, or just relaxing in the hammock or loungers. Here you can gaze down at the tempting aquamarine pool, or just soak in the tropical surroundings - the sun shimmers and filters through the greenery, and hummingbirds and bananaquits dart around in their daily business.
Driftwood Cottage is on the north coast of Antigua, five minutes from the airport and a two minute walk from Jabberwock Beach - the favourite beach of windsurfers and kite surfers. It is also within walking distance of 3 excellent restaurants and St John's and supermarkets are just minutes away.
It is the perfect base from which to explore Antigua, or just relax. Your hosts John and Sarah Fuller have a wealth of island knowledge and can help arrange boat trips, car hire etc. |

The romantic exterior leads to the even more romantic interior, which boasts a wonderful 18th century four-poster king size bed, and high airy ceilings. The living area is uniquely decorated with lighting and accessories designed by a highly skilled local potter. There is also cable TV , a well-stocked library and an additional sofa bed. There is a charming bathroom, and fully fitted kitchen area.
