Description
Tradewinds provides living accommodations in three separate buildings, all featuring attractive Bahamian shutters that may be left open to allow the breeze to flow through and keep the interiors refreshingly cool. Located on Dickies Cay, a small island forming the west side of Man-O-War Cay, Tradewinds is only accessible by boat and has its own deep water dock where you can tie up your own yacht, power boat or rental boat.
The Main House has accommodation for up to 5 with a queen and single in the master bedroom, and 2 single beds in a large area screened off the lounge, together with a fully fitted kitchen. It has broad verandas to the east and west, each with sea views.
The Bunk House provides 2 bunk beds, and a toilet with a shower. It has a covered veranda to the south and is separated from the main house by a screen hedge.
The Lookout is a fully equipped cabin right on the water with 2 single beds, a kitchen area, toilet & outside shower. It has a covered veranda all the way around, with a wider veranda on the south and west sides that overhangs the sea and is an ideal place for a cooling swim, and to watch the sunset.
All buildings have been built in the traditional style using boat building techniques and quality hardwoods providing a unique homely charm. Just across the harbor, and a short walk through the main Man-O-War settlement, you'll find a deserted ocean beach all to yourself. |
