Description
Our beach house (also called a cabana at Sundancer) is just steps from the beach and sits on a small rise of land that helps it catch the cooling effects of the Trade Winds. The large veranda across the front of the cabana receives early morning sun, but is shaded for most of the remainder of the day by palm and nut trees in front and a huge mango tree to the side.
The house is build in island style, which means that it sits on large posts well above the ground and is of tongue and groove native Honduran pine construction. Two French doors open on to the veranda and the windows are all screened and closed by means of wooden shutters. The furniture is also constructed of Honduran pine, mahogany and sunwood. The beach house has two bedrooms, a 3-piece bathroom (shower), good closet space and an open kitchen-dining-living area. In addition to the two double beds there is a futon couch in the living area, which can provide sleeping for an additional adult or two children.
The kitchen has a stove, new refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. It is fully equipped with utensils, pots & pans and dishes. Each room has a ceiling fan, plus there are air conditioners in each bedroom. This plus the 9-foot ceilings help to keep the beach house cool. It comes fully equipped with dish towels, linens, pillows, face clothes and many large towels. All the linens and the cabana are cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. If you require cleaning, cooking or laundry services during your stay, the rental manager will be able to arrange this at quite moderate cost. |
