Description
This beautiful two airconditioned bedrooms/one-bath loft home is nestled on the foothills of the magical El Yunque Rainforest. For an unforgettable vacation in Puerto Rico, the rainforest home's unique location is ideal for the discerning traveler. Surrounded by lush, primeval vegetation (much of it unchanged for centuries), the beauty of the Rainforest Homes' setting would have Henry David Thoreau beside himself with awe.
This location, near the village of El Verde, Rio Grande, also makes it an easy drive to the airport, old San Juan, the nightlife of El Condado and Isla Verde. Fantastic beaches, golf courses, nature reserves, impressive underwater reefs and small cays are all within easy driving distance.
The area is ideal for snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking and deep sea fishing. All this is at a short distance from the house while you enjoy sleeping in the tranquility of the cool night breezes of the rainforest.
Incorporated into the house is a unique "open-air" design, so that no walls or unnecessary obstacles block the way of communication, natural light or rich, fresh air. The entire second floor is a wide open loft with two outdoor decks. The loft itself is fully furnished with four large futons that transform into beds. The two private bedrooms on the first floor are air-conditioned.
Guests will enjoy the peaceful surroundings of lush vegetation, siestas in the hammock on the back porch, great back-yard barbecues, unexpected rain followed by radiant sun, blue skies and the sounds of the forest (especially the songs of the coqui - the tiny tree frog that welcomes the rain singing in unison), and marvelous morning walks along the long private road. |
