Description
Skies Reach, an awe-inspiring, spacious, and contemporary house designed by internationally acclaimed architect and artist, Sacha Tebo, sits above the Salt River National Park with views of St Croix?s north and south shore, Christiansted and Buck Island to the east, and St. John, St. Thomas, and the British Virgin Islands to the north. You can hear and smell the sea breaking on the reef and watch boats coming and going to Salt River, Buck Island and north to the other Virgins.
Your comfort and privacy are assured in this home and grounds with pool and mature landscaping, designed and sited to take advantage of the prevailing island breezes and fabulous views all around. Living is easy in the open architecture of the great room. Kitchen, breakfast and dining areas and living room all share the incredible views. Skies Reach is steeped in the modern tradition and made comfortable in the Caribbean style. The gallery opens off of the great room, integrating indoors and our, and offers another option for morning coffee, an afternoon snack or sundowners with friends. A patio in the lee of the house provides a sheltered place to grill the day?s catch and enjoy the evening sky. Access to the pool from each bedroom makes it easy to take a dip anytime the spirit moves you, whether under the hot Caribbean sun or the cool starry skies. There are tile floors throughout and a security system.
There are two bedrooms and baths with views of the sea in the main house and a third bedroom and bath in a separate cottage, just steps from the house, called the sugar mill for its circular design. Each room has a sitting area and the cottage also has a small refrigerator for snacks and drinks without making a trip to the house.
Live carefree and pampered at Skies Reach. Amenities include all the comforts of home - in paradise! A spacious and well-equipped kitchen, gas cooktop, electric double ovens, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender and food processor; all linens and towels; two kings and a queen bed (twins on request); cable TV; stereo, CD player and large collection of CD?s, DVD player; outdoor grill; beach towels, chairs and cooler; laundry facilities. There is also an emergency generator with an automatic switch that provides power to the house within 15 seconds in the event of a power outage.
