Located in the heart of Salt Cay, only a few steps from your door to the beach, marina and restaurants you will find historic Mt Pleasant Guest House, built in 1832, quaint and charmingly restored accommodation in a picturesque setting. The atmosphere is very down to earth, a perfect getaway for relaxing with the friendliness of a community that still enjoys the traditions of an unhurried lifestyle.

Snorkeling - enjoy the crystal warm turquoise waters, tropical fish and beautiful coral in various locations around the island.

Wreck diving - dive the HMS Endymion. the 1790 British Man-O-War, judged the best preserved, never salvaged, 18th century wrecksite in the WORLD!
Night diving - dive at night and explore the coral reef under a completely new light.
Diving with whales - this can be done during the first three months of the year when the humpback whales migrate to their winter breading grounds on the Mouchoir banks between Salt Cay and the Dominican Republic. You will often see them or hear them when you dive at this time of the year.

Rate details
Mt Pleasant Guest House, built in 1832 offers you quaint and charmingly restored accommodation in a picturesque setting. We are located directly across from the marina where you find diving, whale watching and fishing. Restaurants and bars are just a short walk from your door. We have six rooms total. Two deluxe rooms have queen size beds and private baths. Our standard rooms are equipped with twin beds which will be configured as king size upon prior notice. Standard rooms share a bath.
High Season - Dec 15 - April 15
- $150/night, Deluxe room, private bath, queen bed.
- $125/night, Standard room, shared bath, twin beds.
Low Season - April 16 - Dec 15
- $125/night, Deluxe room, private bath, queen bed.
- $100/night, Standard room, shared bath, twin beds.
All rates based on Double Occupancy. The room rates as listed will include taxes and breakfast.

Group Rates
- Rent the whole house for 2500.00 for 7 nights, including tax. Sleeps 12. This booking can only be made if no other reservations exist for the requested
Cancellation Terms and Conditions
High Season, Dec 15-Apr 15:
A 50% deposit is required to hold a booking. The deposit is refundable if cancellation is made 60 days* prior to the scheduled arrival date. The balance of the rate is due on arrival.
*There are no refunds of deposits or rental fees for Christmas and New Year bookings, i.e., between December 24 and January 14 in each year.
Low Season, Apr 16 - Dec 14:
A 20% deposit is required to hold a booking. The deposit is refundable if cancelllation is made 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date. The balance of the rate is due on arrival.
In the event of a hurricane or airline strike we will honor the rescheduling of your booking at a later date within one year subject to availability of accommodation. There will be no refunds in this case. |
