Description
Come and visit this most peaceful place. Kolibri is the German word for Hummingbird. Our richly landscaped gardens attract island birds that seek the many blossoms found here.
Wake up to the beautiful tropical sunrise shining through the bedroom window. Located on top of a hill, the house presents itself to the soft breezes that course over the island from the Atlantic Ocean.
There are wonderful views of the ocean over which the sun rises in spectacular colors. The evenings are accented with equally fantastic sunsets over the lake and beyond. Some of the best views are from the conversation pit on a rise just behind the house, a perfect place for refreshments at the end of the day.
Our house is equipped with all the essentials that will assure you and your family an unforgettable island getaway. There are three bedrooms, one bath, large living room and covered patio. The complete kitchen can serve up great breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
If you are not inclined to cook every night and want to socialize, arrangements can be made with the hotel at Greenwood for dinners or other services. The hotel is just a short ten minute walk down the road. There is usually an interesting group of guests from around the world to have a drink with or meet over dinner.
For your convienience, further information about the area and the house can be gotten from the kind folks at the Greenwood Inn. You can even make reservations and use a credit card with them, they can be reached on the web at greenwoodbeachresort. They can answer any questions you might have about this wonderful place, Cat Island. Just come and enjoy! |

Activities and Attractions |
You can start your day with a rich breakfast on our open-air terrace overlooking the
Atlantic Ocean. After breakfast walk down to the beach - only a few steps away - to see for
yourself the incredible colours of the pink sand and blue waters.
If you want to walkon the beach be aware that you easily can get ?carried away?.
Don?t be surprised if you are the only one roaming around, because there is
only one other house apart from Greenwood on 8 miles of beach.
If you are not worn out by walking in the fine sand, please take one of our bicycles
and explore the little villages, Port Howe and Bains Town, only 10 to 30 minutes away from the
resort. Find a gigantic cave in Bains Town and see where the Indians used to
live, and where the locals would go to if a hurricane was approaching. |
