Description
Beach Lubbers? is a new home located near the southeast end of Lubbers Quarters Cay in the protected waters of the Sea of Abaco. It has 3 bedrooms 2 baths with its own gorgeous white sand beach and 130 ft. private dock just a few steps away from the front door. The home was designed and decorated keeping in mind the enjoyment and appreciation of the most discriminating guests. The front porch spans the entire width of the house and offers breathtaking views of the Sea of Abaco, Tahiti Beach and Tilloo Cut. It is a perfect place to sit and watch the sunrise, read a book and dream a little. The surrounding waters are crystal clear and the breezes from the tradewinds are delightful. You can fish, snorkel and swim right off the dock and beach.
Lubbers is a small island between Marsh Harbour and Hope Town/Elbow Cay which has always been known as an artist haven. Only recently it has become the choice of many tourists looking for a quiet respite away from the hustle and bustle of the busier out islands. The only commercial establishment on the island is Cracker P?s, a restaurant and bar, within walking distance of ?Beach Lubbers? or a short boat ride to their dock. This is a great place for lunch or dinner. In order to get to Lubbers it is necessary to rent a boat as there is no ferry service to the island. You will want a rental boat anyway so that you can explore and snorkel the many islands in the Sea of Abaco, shop at the different settlements and eat lunch or dinner at their restaurants.
This is the ideal location for getting to all of your island activities. For the fishing enthusiasts, directly across from our home about ? mile is Tilloo Cut which gives immediate access to the open ocean. After going through the cut, within minutes you are in thousands of feet of water providing some of the best deep sea fishing in the world! There is excellent bonefishing on the west side of Lubbers within walking distance of the house. Just a short boat ride away to the south are also excellent areas for bonefishing. To the south are the Pelican Cays Land & Sea Park and Sandy Cay which are great spots for snorkeling. And, on the West side of Lubbers is a beautiful crystal clear sandy bottom lagoon and beach where you can swim or just float around and enjoy the tranquility of this lovely area. It is also accessible through foot paths around and through the Island if you just want to take a leisurely walk.
