Description
Baycienda is sprawling four-bedroom, three-bath villa on the bay of North Eleuthera, directly across the road from the Atlantic Ocean. The bedrooms are separated from the expansive Great Room by a covered patio as well as a very large open patio.
Baycienda is located one mile south of Harbour Island and Historic Dunmore Towne, first settlement and first capitol of the Bahamas. Harbour Island has one of the 10 Best Beaches in the world according to "Islands" magazine.

Rate details
Baycienda is available for only $2,800 per week or $400 per night, 3-night minimum. Gratuity is not included. $500 damage deposit required for use of boat. 50% deposit required at reservation with balance due 10 days before arrival. Sixty day cancellation notice.

We just returned from Baycienda (July 2007). We have mixed feelings though we had a wonderful time. Positives: boat & car provided, 4 bedroom house, bedrooms separated from living & kitchen area, dockage for 2 boats, living room can sleep additional people with a futon and fold out couch, caretaker on premises. There is a BEAUTIFUL reef fairly close to the house that had brain coral, angel fish, parrot fish and even a small bamboo shark. Negatives: BIG roaches throughout both buildings, hot water heater has to be turned on & off if taking a shower. Roof leaked on porch and in master bedroom. All bedrooms had A/C except the one with the twin beds so it got pretty hot in that room (no ceiling fan either in that room). As with most places in the Bahamas, water is precious so conservation is key.
