Description
Hand-built in the late 1960s with local stone and wood from Guyana, Casa Luna is a spacious and charming villa that overlooks Friendship Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The house is built on 4 levels providing ample room and privacy for any party.
This antique furnished house is situated on a hillside and surrounded by local vegetation. The view from the adjacent clay-tiled pool deck is spectacular with views of Battowia, Balliceaux, and Mustique. Situated within walking distance from Friendship Bay, guests can enjoy the rolling sound of the ocean from the comfort of the deck or on the secluded beach of Friendship Bay after a short walk down the hillside on the private path. (It is not uncommon to find yourself alone on the beach!)
Casa Luna has several private sitting areas allowing guests their own moments of privacy and introspection. (It should be noted that the pool and pool deck are available to guests of both houses).
The dining room of Casa Luna can accommodate larger parties and the adjacent antique-filled living room (complete with grand piano) provides the perfect pre-dinner or after-dinner environment (it will truly transport you back in time!)
Bequia is very accommodating with many restaurants and bars. Guests should plan their own menus and should expect to provide their own provisions (there are several easily accessible grocery stores on the island). a Housekeeper and maintenance man is also available on-premise.
A Jeep and Moke (the local island buggy) are also available for weekly rental. If you prefer to be responsible for your own transportation, please inquire. (Island taxis are cheap and easily obtainable). |
