Description
Perfect Pineapple Guest Houses are located in beautiful White Bay; about three minutes walk to the world-renowned white sand beach. Our rooms are high enough to provide a breathtaking view of White Bay and the British and American Virgin Islands.
Jost Van Dyke is one of the best-kept secrets in the British Virgin Islands. Constantly fighting the onslaught of commercialism, the 190 inhabitants of this little island have persevered to this day and kept it as close to the “real” Caribbean as this twenty-first century permits. Electricity from Tortola wasn’t installed until the early 1990’s and begrudgingly, a few paved roads have begun to appear. Beauty isn’t skin deep on Jost Van Dyke, it’s imbedded in the proud population who treasure its beauty and fun-filled atmosphere. Jost Van Dyke is a place, out of the beaten path, to take a well-deserved step back and enjoy Mother Nature. Perfect Pineapple is so close to the sea, you’ll be lulled to sleep with the gentle waves lapping the white beach of White Bay.
Gregory Callwood, proprietor, was born and bred on Jost Van Dyke. He’s devoted to the island and active in the Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society. He’s been instrumental in promoting musical entertainment events at Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, his father’s legendary establishment. Greg is devoted to Jost Van Dyke. Once you stay at Perfect Pineapple Guest Houses and enjoy Greg’s Caribbean hospitality, you’ll know why nothing should change on Jost Van Dyke. Perfect Pineapple Guest Houses are not the Ritz, just a piece of paradise. Once you arrive we’ll pick you up at Customs or the Ferry Dock and take you to Perfect Pineapple. |

Activities and Attractions |
Worshiping the Sun is a popular sport along with snorkeling and just watching the millions of stars at night. In keeping with this tradition of island preservation, there are no marinas, hotels, shopping centers, airports or gaudy commercial establishments. Ferries make multiple daily trips from West End, Tortola and also from St. Thomas.
There are, of course, essential services including full time medical, customs, immigration, fire and police. Taxis make it easy to travel the island, but walking can be healthy. Most of the restaurants and nightlife are in Great Harbour — over the hill and down the road apiece. And at the East End of the island, there’s the Bubbly Pool where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean. |
