Description
Nestled high in the mountain, at 350m above sea level, The Gate House a boutique hotel offers their guests the most spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and surrounding islands. A wide balcony wraps around the hotel providing the perfect opportunity to savor the splendid view of the sea, and to overlook the quaint cottages below.
The Gate House caters to different clientele with 5 rooms in the hotel with its own pool, a large cottage, and a 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and private pool villa.
All are bright, spacious, airy, double, queen or king size rooms with ocean view. Furnished in a Caribbean style each colorful guest room includes paintings by local artists. The trade winds give The Gate House a temperate climate which keeps the nights cool, and make the use of air condition unnecessary. A fan at the hottest season is sufficient, but a blanket can be welcome some nights during December or January. Thanks to the same trade winds our place is mosquitoes and flies free.
The Gate House restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner either on the terrace or inside in a casual yet elegant and romantic atmosphere. For the last five years the Wine Spectator a leading magazine in the US with more than two millions readers has recognized The Gate House for outstanding wine representation and this year the American Automobile Association or AAA gave us a three diamonds award for the excellence of our menu. It is the first time any restaurant in Saba has received such recognitions.
