Description
Summerhill Villa is one of the newest villas in the Springfarm/Montego Bay area of Jamaica. This brightly painted, 3 story villa boasts 10,000 square feet of elegant, yet charming accommodations. The villa is inspired by world class Spanish style architecture, complete with a massive cathedral and vaulted ceiling, meticulously polished wood and marble floors and a beautiful chandelier. Artistically arranged antique furnishings, oriental rugs, treasured pieces of art and other collectibles adorn this breathtaking 9 bedroom villa. The entrance is complimented with a grand foyer and a magnificent stairway leading to the second level. The perfect setting for that special wedding.
The surrounding estate is no less impressive. Summerhill is encircled by lush tropical flowers, fruit trees, a massive well manicured lawn, walking paths and a garden sitting area, designed for meditating, private moments, or a garden wedding ceremony.
Your enchanted vacation begins when you are met by your private driver at the Montego Bay Airport. The scenic 15 minute drive will take you past several seaside resorts, through the entrance of the world class Half Moon Golf Course and Country Club, winding up the hill past several beautiful homes to your private hillside holiday retreat. Once you enter the gates leading up the short driveway, you are welcomed with a refreshing drink as you relax and unwind from your journey.

Summerhill Villa offers an array of opulent yet comfortable bedrooms spread throughout the villa on all three floors. The top level contains four large bedrooms, ranging in size from 14' x 16' to 20' x 25' with stunning views of the surrounding estate and the Caribbean Sea. If you prefer a more intimate setting, the main level provides three more bedrooms ranging in size from 16' x 14' to 12' x 12'. For those guests who prefer exclusive and secluded accommodations, Summerhill Villa offers a two bedroom suite on the ground floor. Contained within the suite, is a generous 20' x 20' bedroom that rivals the master bedroom and a cozy 14' x 16' bedroom. Each bedroom has a private balcony which is accessed through French doors, as well as its own large walk in closet. Private bathrooms festooned in fine Italian marble and lavish fixtures, ceiling fans and personal stereos make each room a self contained hideaway, perfect for a romantic getaway for two. Fresh flowers are placed in your room daily, and a nightly turndown service with chilled water waiting at your bedside makes for the perfect ending to an enchanting day.
Bedroom 1
The incredibly spacious 20' by 25' master bedroom is the epitome of luxury and comfort. Located on the third floor, it contains an extra large bathroom suite, chaise lounge, wrought iron king size bed, ceiling fans and a writing table. The French doors open to a balcony with a picturesque 180 degree view of the Caribbean Sea on one side. On the other side is a spectacular view overlooking the entire estate with Half Moon Resort and the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the not so far off distance.
Bedroom 2
This slightly smaller 16'x 14' bedroom, with it's nature inspired decor, has a full bathroom, queen size bed, sitting area, and a balcony with a 180 degree view of the ocean. From other windows in the bedroom, you get a superb view of the pool area.
Separating the other bedrooms is a comfortable, bright, airy sitting area with decorator tables and chairs ideal for afternoon tea or snacks, or as a small gathering area for lounging. The area flows into a large separate patio overlooking the pool area and the Caribbean Sea.
Bedroom 3
This tastefully decorated, 18' x 16' extra large bedroom offers a queen size antique wooden bedroom set. It is tastefully decorated in peach and other relaxing earth tone colors. An ample sitting area, huge walk-in closets, full bathroom, and a balcony with a view of the surrounding lush vegetation give this open bedroom a decidedly tropical feel. Windows within the bedroom provide you with a commanding view of the pool area and the ocean beyond.
Bedroom 4
This 18' X 16' bedroom, also stylishly decorated with ornate wood furniture, contains an extra large dresser, and a balcony overlooking flourishing tropical vines. An enormous window presents you a panoramic view of the beautiful Springfarm area and the sea beyond.
Bedroom 5
This intimate 16' x 14' bedroom, located on the main level, is cheerfully decorated in tropical colors with a loveseat, two entrances, and French doors opening out onto the patio, with a awe-inspiring view of the ocean; particularly when the sun sets on the Caribbean Sea. This room is also perfect for guests who may not be able to climb the steps to the third floor bedrooms.
Bedrooms 6 and 7
These two bedrooms are also located on the main level, adjacent to the enclosed patio area. These twin bedded rooms share a bathroom and are perfect for younger children and a nanny. One room has a view of the garden area and the other has a view of the pool area and the ocean in the distance.
Bedrooms 8 and 9
For the utmost in privacy, a luxurious 2 bedroom suite is located on the ground level. Fine Italian granite and marble, parquet floors, a Jacuzzi bath, a kitchenette and private verandah appoint this suite. Guests can choose to have their meals served in the main dining area or within the suite itself. This delightful area is the perfect hideaway for honeymooners or guests who are seeking a more comprehensive setting with a emphasis on seclusion. |

Summerhill Villa is surrounded by an expansive, well manicured estate which offers a myriad of possibilities for private walks, quiet time, or a unique setting for that perfect garden wedding you've dreamed of. From the moment you arrive at Summerhill you notice an expansive front lawn. But there is more to the estate than that. There are a walking paths that wind around the estate and offer breathtaking views at every turn. As you stroll the paths you'll come across an outdoor garden sitting area designed to provide you with a relaxing place to sit and meditate or take in the lush tropical scenery.
The covered gazebo offers yet another spot to relax and put your cares behind you or, if you prefer, enjoy a freshly prepared meal while taking in the magnificent scenery.
There is a large variety of fruit trees, tropical flowers, and lush plants throughout the estate, accentuating the ambiance of Summerhill Villa and the surrounding areas.
Summerhill Villa is spacious enough to hold virtually any size gathering in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. On the top level of the villa, separating the bedrooms is a comfortable, bright, airy sitting area furnished with decorator tables and chairs, suitable for use as a small gathering area or for just lounging around. The area flows into a large separate patio overlooking the pool area and the Caribbean Sea.
The main level offers several areas in which to gather and entertain. Aside from the formal dining room, the main level also provides a dramatic setting with the foyer/main entrance and staircase. The exquisitely styled grand staircase, leading to the top, level is framed by a long hallway with fine Italian marble floors and huge contemporary columns. Dramatic lighting gives the area a stately atmosphere without being pretentious. The foot of the staircase is complimented by an oriental rug, and the top of the stairs leads to the sitting area on the top level.
Also located on the main level, is a living room area with a complete entertainment center, including Satellite TV, VCR and DVD players. A nearby video store carries the latest releases, or you can bring your own titles if you wish.
Opposite from the living room and next to the formal dining room, is a separate library. In the library, you'll find a sound system with CD player and a selection of assorted music CD's for your listening enjoyment, or you can immerse yourself in a book chosen from our many selections of classic and contemporary literature.
Of course, not all of Summerhill Villa's treasures are indoors. A cavernous pool and massive patio area offers even more stunning settings and entertaining opportunities. There are tables and lounge chairs throughout the pool and patio area, and a full service bar. Our chef can prepare Jerk Chicken or other barbecue specialties of your choice on the built in grill on the patio, for a romantic dinner on the nearby gazebo. Romantic evenings by the poolside under the dim lights, the panoramic view of the Caribbean sea and the clear skies so abundant with stars promises to make your stay at Summerhill Villa a memorable one.
Summerhill Villa provides a number of settings in which to dine and snack. All meals are served to you by your butler. Guests of our ground level private suite have the option of dining in their suite.
Breakfast and less formal meals are usually served on the covered patio adjacent to the kitchen. The patio area has a full service bar, and a built in grill where our chef will prepare freshly grilled meals at your request. The perfect setting for evening cocktails or other family gatherings. For a secluded romantic dinner for two, we suggest a freshly grilled meal under the stars on our beautiful gazebo.
The formal dinning room has a warm, comfortable setting for entertaining at least eight guests. The room is accented by a large wood china cabinet, a sideboard and two huge arched windows looking out onto lush tropical foliage. The table settings glisten with fine china and crystal glassware placed upon imported table linen. An ideal setting for sit-down candlelight dinners and other more formal occasions.
Next to the dining room is the huge kitchen where your cook prepares all your daily meals using only the freshest ingredients for fresh tropical fruits drinks, appetizers, homemade soups, authentic Jamaican dishes and other meals according to your personal request.

Summerhill Villa is close by many recreational areas and there are a large number of activities which you can enjoy. Some of the activities easily accessible to our guests include tennis, golf, horseback riding, world class spas, virtually every water sport imagineable and much more. Transportation is also available and there are tours of the island of Jamaica also. Summerhill Villa not only sits above the world renowned Half Moon Resort and Golf Course but is located just five minutes from the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Wyndham Hotel and Golf Course. Complimentary membership is provided to you for the Wyndham Hotel facilities which includes free access to the all non-motorized water sports and other facilities at the hotel. Discounted golf fees also are offered at the Wyndham Golf Course. With all there is to do around the area, there will never be any shortage of fun and exiting things to do and see. |
