Welcome to Flamboyant Cottage, our vacation home on Saba, "The Unspoiled Queen" of the Caribbean. With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and private pool, this Saba rental cottage is a beautiful and relaxing home away from home. The cottage is the perfect base from which to experience Saba's timeless charm. Come experience all the Unspoiled Queen has to offer!
Located on Booby Hill just a short 10-minute walk up from Windwardside, Flamboyant Cottage is perched 1,500 feet above sea level (see map). The property is situated on the southeast hills of Saba, which places the cottage directly in the trade winds and provides the terraces with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the islands of St. Eustatius (Statia), St. Kitts, and Nevis.
Flamboyant Cottage's Terrace and PoolSaba is part of the Netherlands Antilles, and can be reached from Sint Maarten (a.k.a. Saint Martin) by two methods: from Princess Juliana International Airport on a 12-minute airplane flight via Winair or a longer trip by the ferry The Edge. You can reach Sint Maarten on non-stop airline flights from many US cities including Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. Direct flights from cities elsewhere in the world include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax, Amsterdam and Paris.
The quaint town of Windwardside, Saba.Flamboyant Cottage's proximity to Windwardside means that you're within easy walking distance to groceries, shopping and several restaurants. To get around the island, taxis are just a phone call away, or better yet, don your hiking shoes and take advantage of Saba's spectacular hiking trails.
Flamboyant Cottage has two bedrooms (one queen bed, two twin beds), two bathrooms (each with a shower), a fully equipped kitchen, an outside dining gazebo, and tiled terraces leading to a beautiful private pool. The cottage is designed for one or two couples, and can only sleep a maximum of four people.
Flamboyant Cottage is our relaxed, quiet, home away from home. If you're looking for a peaceful, restful environment for your vacation, this is the place for you. Days can be spent being as lazy or energetic as you want - you can sit by the pool with a favorite book, spend the day under the Caribbean Sea with one of Saba's local dive shops, or test your physical fitness on Saba's hiking trails. At night you have your choice of relaxing in the cottage's outdoor gazebo with a home cooked meal or walking into Windwardside to sample one of Saba's several restaurants.

* Sleeping arrangements for 2-4 people as follows:
o Master bedroom with queen bed and attached bathroom with stall shower
o Second bedroom with two twin beds and attached bathroom with stall shower
* Fully equipped kitchen with propane stove & oven and microwave
* Living room with cable TV and stereo
* Softwood floors throughout
* Ceiling fans in all rooms
* Outdoor dining gazebo with fan/light fixture and teak dining furniture
* Tiled terraces and 10' x 20' private pool and teak terrace furniture
* Parking for one car
* Private and quiet, yet only a short walking distance to Windwardside and groceries, shopping and restaurants.
* Spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the islands of Statia, St. Kitts and Nevis. On a really clear morning you may catch a glimpse of Montserrat.
* Air conditioning is installed in the master bedroom and second bedroom (window units sufficient to cool each bedroom). Note: We find that the cottage is cool with the trade winds, and that instead of needing air conditioning, we sometimes need light blankets at night!
