Description
Enjoy the beauty of Saba while staying in an authentic Antique cottage. Overlooking the village of Windwardside it is a short walk down the hill to all the restaurants, shops, markets and gathering places located here.
Restored in keeping with the "Saban Style" architecture, this one bedroom - one bathroom cottage, is furnished in lively colored fabrics and a collection of paintings of tropical fish, island scenes and flowers. The fully equipped kitchen has a new stove, fridge and microwave. There is also a washer. The spacious living room with dining area contains a pull-out sofa, radio, TV and phone. Here at Effie you can forget the "real" world as you enjoy a glass of your favorite libation on the spacious front deck, just watching the world as we know it on Saba go by or have dinner "al fresco" in the private and beautiful "Secret Garden".
Effie's and the Lookout are traditional Saban cottages conveniently located in Windwardside, just a few steps above the Brigadoon restaurant. Facing the northeast, the sea view is to Core Gut with constant breezes. Both cottages are ideal for two persons but can accommodate a 3rd. Lovely gardens, a gazebo at The Lookout with a secluded rear dining area at Effie's are just some of the charming features. An affordable alternative to a hotel stay. |
