Description
Tradewinds Grenada -- gorgeous view and empty beaches! Tradewinds is a private villa on a hillside a few minutes' stroll to the beach. We offer comfort and simplicity. The two bedrooms (queen and full), bath, fully-equipped kitchen, and spacious living / dining room are immaculate and nicely appointed. Our terrace affords an incredible yet peaceful view of the beach, sea, and islands.
We are next to Levera National Park, a conservation area including beaches, a fresh water pond, and an extinct volcano. The main beach, Bathway, is formed by a natural rock barrier that creates several hundred meters of lagoon. The area is virtually deserted most mornings, and never crowded even on a holiday Sunday. Mountain hiking, historic sites, plantation Great Houses, and many natural wonders are within thirty minutes.
We do not offer TV / VCR or air conditioning, but the breezes and ceiling fans keep the house very comfortable. A rental car or hired driver is necessary to take full advantage of the area, but we can also arrange a cook if you want to stay put and enjoy every minute on the terrace or at the beach.

A new golf course (½ a mile) is slated to open in 2004. Hiking in the rain forest, snorkeling, fishing, safe swimming, shelling, and fascinating historic sites are all close at hand. |

Amenities |
We provide phone, radio / audio cassette player, well-equipped kitchen, linens, and basic maid service. We can arrange to stock the kitchen, retain babysitters or trail guides, contact local fishermen to take you to an uninhabited island to snorkel in its coral reef, and we have a comprehensive "Welcome Book" in Tradewinds to guide you to all the local attractions.

Activities and Attractions |
Many visitors to Grenada describe it as the most beautiful small island in the West Indies. Mountains draped with lush forest and carved by waterfalls fill the island's center, while picture-perfect beaches fringe the coast. Less developed than other Caribbean islands, Grenada is "the original Caribbean". Unspoiled and relatively undiscovered (perhaps due to its extreme southerly location as well as the environmental values of the government), Grenada is home to some of the warmest, friendliest, and most charming people imaginable. Most really do love visitors.
Most people find plenty to do in our area and are happy to avoid the cars and crowds in the south.
Step down from our breezy terrace, to our sunny gardens, and down onto Bathway Beach, a huge protected pool formed by a natural breakwater. The water varies from dead calm to a spa, with jets turned on high, is unusually safe and often deserted.....
