Nestled on the outskirts of the small village of Mount Pleasant, set in half an acre of landscaped lawns, tropical shrubs and flowers, where exotic birds visit to eat sugar from the feeders. At night a family of very rare white owls can be heard and seen.

These privately owned and managed apartments are spacious, secure and totally self-contained with their own separate entrances.
The two-bedroom apartments can accommodate 4/5 very comfortably. The romantic quiet little cottage in the back garden is perfect for a honeymoon, or just two people who want to enjoy some quality time with each other.
The studio apartment is for the individual or couple who are holidaying/travelling together as friends.
If you catch a bus/taxi or rent a vehicle and go out for the day it is very pleasant to come back, sit in the Jacuzzi and let the bubbles massage your body. Then freshen up, perhaps a squidgy G & T with ice and lemon, and a gentle stroll through the village to one of the various international restaurants – or why not ask Steve (known as Pigeon, a young Tobagonian who has worked at Orchid Villa Apartments for ten years) to cook a barbeque or a local Creole dish called “fish broth”. It’s supposed to be very good for you! Tobagonians love to cook for you, and if you would like to try Creole food all you have to do is ask.
Orchid Villa Apartments are situated in a very accessible location. A few minutes walk to a couple of the best supermarkets on the island. Passing some local bars on the way – where you are likely to meet Tobagonians, the older men love to tell stories and lime with you – if you buy them a beer!. Buses and taxis pass along the same route quite frequently –going either to Scarborough or Plymouth. |

Amenities |
A very large 2 bedroomed apartment, one bedroom en suite and one bedroom en suite plus dressing room. Fully fitted and equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area with cable TV. Powerful ceiling fans in all rooms plus sun-block curtains and window canopies. The two sets of French windows which lead out on to a walk way and the 28ft. x 16ft. veranda which can be used for sun-bathing or alfresco eating in the evenings. The apartment has security gates on the doors and windows so that they can be left open at night to allow the natural breeze to blow straight through.
Apartment No. 2 overlooks the back garden with stairs leading down to the jacuzzi, which is tiled, and measures 10 ft. x 10 ft. with 6 jets. A tiled bench is built inside with steps in one corner – and for safety a wrought iron fence. The apartment is large and airy, it has powerful ceiling fans in every room. The lounge and kitchen are fully furnished and equipped with micro wave, full sized cooker and large fridge freezer.
The studio apartment has 2 rooms, one lounge/kitchen and one bathroom/dressing room, two divan beds which double up as sofas during the day. Full sized cooker and small fridge/freezer. Full sized kitchen sink and cabinets. Security door and security on the windows, fan and mosquito nets.
The one bedroom self-contained cottage is small and pretty, built fairly recently – it has everything to make your time in Tobago special. The roof is insulated and high to protect against the tropical heat, it has a fan in the centre of the ceiling in each room. White floor tiles cover the floor area throughout. On all the windows there is security and mosquito nets. The windows face each other – ensuring a through natural breeze, and for your comfort a queen size bed with a posture-pedic mattress.
The lounge and kitchen are open plan, it’s nice to cook and chat or maybe watch cable TV. The kitchen is well equipped should you fancy cooking. You can either eat inside or outside – the tables and chairs are beside the Jacuzzi which has lights inside and above. |
