Limestone Holiday is a cozy small family & dive resort, self catering, with all facilities you’ll need. We offer a holiday cottage + a car + scuba tanks, perfect for shore diving. We can arrange all dive facilities or any other activity, so you can really enjoy your holiday.
To find Limestone Holiday, first you need to know if it exists. Most people have never heard of it. Taxi drivers can’t find the place. Only a few guests ever stayed there. You have to read what they have to say about it. Too good to be true… (TripAdvisor) Is it really a quiet little hide away on the beautiful Spanish Water Bay? Off the beaten path, practically at the end off the road, on a small peninsula, completely hidden in nature, you’ll see only water and interesting panoramas… Only when you enter the tropical flower and palm garden and you see the limestone beach, with hammocks & long chairs, the lovely swimming area like a swimming pool in sea the impressive view over the Spanish Waters and you’ll feel the cool sea breeze, you’ll get this aha feeling, it is really here. And when the double doors to your apartment open, you’ll get that holiday feeling, and you’ll know your holiday has just begun.
Our holiday cottages are simply basic comfort, studios, 1 or 2 bedroom, something for every one. with everything you might need. If you miss something, you may still ask for it. You will feel right away at home. This is the place to stay for guests that like to be away from the crowd and still close to all the action.
The Spanish Water is a perfect place for water sports such as: sailing, windsurfing, cat sailing, kayaking, nearby Caracas bay for snorkeling or diving.
You are near to downtown historic Willemstad with it's cultural heritage, colorful & vivid, one of the nicest towns you’ll ever visit, the Curaçao Marine Park with breathtaking snorkel & dive spots, beaches such as Barbara Beach, Caracas-bay Island, Jan Thiel bay, the Sea Aquarium with many attractions, Dina Veeris herb garden, the Ostrich farm & aloe plantation, all kinds of sports, tennis, golf, horseback riding, deepsea fishing, gyms, Caracas bay, the place for your early morning fitness walk.
Oops, we have no bar nor restaurant, but the best restaurants are just around the corner: the Boathouse, Sarifundi's Marina, landhuis Brakkeput Mei Mei, de Kleine Wereld, Larry's, etc. too many & for every taste… So is nightlife: Mambo beach, Salinja, hotels and casinos. Just name it. It is somewhere near.
Limestone Holiday is not a luxurious hotel, it is not even a hotel, There is no room service, no personnel that will wait on you. Maybe it is a kind of eco resort? At least we like to be eco friendly and not waste energy, be conservative, respect nature, it’s peacefulness, the privacy of the guests. So no screaming kids running around, please. No invasion of visitors, friends or family. Visitors should only visit. If they like to stay, they should become guests.
Limestone Holiday is a bit informal. It took a lot of dedication to build and it takes a lot of dedication to maintain. Guests come here to enjoy this, the tranquility & beauty, to be close to nature, so one can recreate one self. It has a small private beach for guests only, terraces overlooking the bay, a cabana, BBQ corners, a kids playground or room, a boathouse with kayaks, a small dive shop, where you can help yourself, as in the laundry room with a washing machine & dryer. Our maid we’ll help you to keep your apartment clean. In our office you’ll find all info on what to do, a guest library, board games, a dvd rental, Internet to check your email, even wireless access outside. It is simply a place where you can enjoy your holiday, be with yourself & nature, relax or do everything you like to do. Everything you’ll need is here, just mention it, and we’ll will help you find it.
You can’t stay in Limestone Holiday and not rent a car. You simply need one to get here and to get out of here, to go to the supermarket and drive around to see the island. We rent a car + secure parking-place with each apartment. Curaçao is a sunny island, bathing in the Caribbean Sea. All year round there is a refreshing sea breeze & still no hurricanes. There are many nice places and beaches to be discovered, all the snorkel & dive spots you can ever dream of. So where are you waiting for? Come and re-discover it. Once you’ll get a taste of all Curacao has to offer, you’ll be back for more. Alonso De Ojeda discovered Curacao back in 1498. He was surprised to find an island of giants. Since than everybody seems to have forgotten about this little island & it’s hidden treasures. This way it stayed one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean. Now you can still discover it and be surprised. It really is a island of giants, with many beautiful faces & lots of friendly colorful people, a melting pot of races & cultures, a showcase of what the world could look like.
We'll give you personal attention in the language you speak: English, Spanish, Dutch , German & also our local language Papiamentu and all the information you will need to find your way around the island, so you can really enjoy your holiday. |

Activities and Attractions |
In Curaçao or at Limestone you don't need to be bored. Even the hard to please will find something to do. You can (learn how to) snorkel, scuba dive, sail, fish, mountain bike, hike, golf, go to a gym, tour the island, dance salsa, BBQ or do nothing. There are restaurants of every ones taste and places to go out to at night. We can even arrange for a baby sitter.
Water sports
The Spanish Waters is an ideal place for water sports. The Pro-Sail Curaçao offers 5 meter sailboats or sunfishes for rent with or without skipper. Also a small motorboat. Windsurfing Curaçao is the place for windsurfing & Cat Curaçao for catamaran sailing, Baya Beach for jetskiing Kima Kalki for water skiing or wake boarding. The Bounty & Insulinde make sail trips along the coast. Let's Fish, Speedy & Sunrise do deep-sea fishing. The Mermaid makes day trips to Klein Curacao, a small paradise island. Limestone rents out kayaks. We also have a 17 foot Boston Whaler, which can be used for all kinds of activities like waterskiing or as a water taxi.
Kayaking
The Spanish Water is a beautiful bay to discover by kayak. There are many inlets, Mangrove groves, where the pelicans rest, sea grass snorkel spots where you can see life conch. You can paddle up to Barbara Beach in 30 minutes and relax. We have one or two person kayaks, all together for 10 persons. Kayaking is a healthy exercise, which you can learn in a few minutes.
Underwater sports
There are many nice beaches where you can snorkel or scuba dive. Most beaches have facilities, such as shady cabanas, long chairs, a bar, showers and a dive shop or are natural, as are the country roads leading there, which means you need a good car to get there.
Mountain-biking,
is 'hot' on Curaçao. Wanna Bike offers some cool tours in the surroundings of Jan Thiel.
Hiking

Dancing lessons
On Monday there is a free salsa lesson in Brakkeput MeiMei. And there is still 'Salsa si puedes"... for the experts!
Car rental
In Limestone as we are a little isolated + to see Curaçao you'll need a sporty car, high on its wheels. We rent such a car + secure parking place with each apartment: Suzuki Ignes or mini bus, a station wagon or a Kia Sportage Jeep, all perfect for sightseeing or shore diving. |
