Description
Rainbow Village is a small nature retreat uniquely set in the mountains (elevation about 2000ft/700m) in the south western interior of Dominica. Surrounded by abundant vegetation and adjacent to the Morne Trois Pitons National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with different types of unspoilt tropical forests, Rainbow Village is the ideal place to discover all the amazing natural treasures Dominica has to offer.
For example, you can reach the majestic Middleham Falls, Dominica's highest and most beautiful waterfall with a natural pool to bathe, with an exciting hike (3 hours roundtrip); many other interesting hikes are possible as well.
The distance to Roseau is about 20 driving minutes, Canefield Airport 15 minutes and all major connection roads to take you around are within easy reach as well, but not close enough to disturb you with noise and pollution. For Car Rental rates and information, contact Courtesy Car Rental. |

Our cottages are nestled within a lush tropical garden. They are set apart from each other to allow undisturbed privacy and surround a spring-water-fed swimming pool (4x8 m) and a rustic open bar where delicious local dishes and drinks are available upon request.
Five tastefully decorated cottages built out of local stones and wood await you. There are two types:

The Family Cottage is ideal for families or groups with or without children. It consists of one separate bedroom with a double bed, a spacious combined hall/bedroom with two single beds as well as a bathroom with hot water, a fully equipped kitchen and two verandahs, one of which offers a wonderful view of the mountains and the sea.
This cottage can comfortably accommodate 5 persons, plus a smaller child in a crib. The fresh and cool mountain breezes are our natural air condition!
Each Rainbow Cottage (there are four) is designed like a studio with a double bed (queen size available) or two single beds, a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom (hot water) plus verandah. This cottage sleeps two persons (plus child possible).
Rainbow Village is ideal for nature lovers looking for adventure and pleasurable seclusion. Your hostess Susanne who speaks English, German, and French and her family will make you feel at home and personally cater for your well-being.
