Description
Right on the beach - this beautiful villa is Carriacou's super, top-of-the-line beach house with fabulous ocean views to the western horizon. Watch the sun set into the sea to the gentle sound of birdsong, surf on the beach, and the reassuring tinkling of ice cubes.......
Built in the traditional tropical style, the villa is finished with tiled floors and Jalousie wooden louvre windows throughout. A few steps down the shady porch and you are on a near deserted beach with fine swimming and snorkelling. Inside, the house is simply but elegantly furnished and comprehensively equipped. You can entertain in some style here. This home comes with four mornings a week maid service. Grenan is our most popular beach house and gets booked up early and from year to year. 2000 sq ft (186 sq m). 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Living/dining area opens to large west facing covered porch.
Facilities:
* All rooms have a/c, full insect screening & fans
* Maid service 2/4 mornings per week by arrangement
* Solar heated hot water showers.
* Cable TV & Radio/CD player
* Full stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and all you need to cater for 6 persons.
* Linens and towels provided, but bring your own beach towels.
* Laundry room with washing machine.
* Telephone.
* Jeep rental recommended but not essential.
Grenan A few easy steps down to the beach which is a mix of white coral sand and the darker volcanic sand usual on the leeward shores of the islands. Want all-white beaches and swaying palm trees? Have the local boatmen take you and your cooler to one of the nearby uninhabited out-islands. They'll pick you up from the beach right outside the house. 6 minutes walk to daytime bus services to town, stores, restaurants. 20 minutes drive to any place on the island and many other beaches. |
