Description
The privately owned villa is in a secluded location perched on the cliff with breathtaking views of Redonda and Nevis across the Caribbean, as well as the Montserrat hills inland. Situated at the end of a small road, the only sounds you will hear are from the sea and the wildlife - birds, tree-frogs and crickets.
Set in a large mature garden with its own private 30 foot long tiled pool, this is the perfect location for complete rest and relaxation in the privacy of your own "home". Woodlands Beach, which you will usually have to yourself, is just 10 minutes walk away.
Ideal 'get away from it all' location for one couple, using just the upper level, but the lower level, (available for rent only in conjunction with the upper level) reached by external stairs, has a further 4 single beds (1 twin room, 2 singles), 2 bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen and sitting/dining areas. Further details are on the accommodation page. Rental rate is according to occupancy.
Please note: the house is not suitable for small children and is usually occupied by the owners over the Christmas holiday period.

Amenities |
Min-y-Don is our second home and is furnished and equipped accordingly, not as some less personal villas specifically designed for the rental market. The house is newly decorated, inside and out and is fully equipped as a home from home.
There is a house manager on island who will be able to help you with any queries or problems.
The upper (main) level is perfect for a couple:
The large bedroom has a king-sized bed with plenty of hanging and drawer space. Windows on two sides of the room have wooden louvres easily adjustable to allow the breeze in, with mosquito screens to keep the insects out! Sliding glass doors lead onto the verandah and provide sea-views from the bed, a fabulous view when you wake!
The en suite shower room has a rooflight, so you can gaze at the sky as you shower!
The modern kitchen is bright and airy and well equipped with all the usual appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, gas rings and large fridge/freezer. There is also an electric bread-maker, filter coffee machine, toaster, food processor and English kettle and teapot for those who like their morning cuppa, and if you want to entertain, there are plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and sets of cutlery.
The house is fitted with a US electricity supply (110v) throughout and, in addition, there are UK sockets (220v) in both the kitchen and living room.
There is also a small laundry room with automatic washing machine. No drier, since everything dries quickly outside.
The comfortable, spacious lounge has TV, DVD and CD player with surround sound, and there is a formal dining area with large wooden dining table. Sliding glass doors lead from both the living and dining rooms to the verandah.
The 50 foot long covered verandah is open on three sides, providing a welcome breeze and also has an electrically operated blind at the seaside end for shade if the afternoon sun is too bright. This space provides a very comfortable covered area for dining, relaxing and admiring the views, both of the sea and inland to the lush green hills - and a fabulous view of sunsets over the sea.
External steps lead to the 30 foot long tiled pool, the outside shower, tropical hillside gardens and the downstairs accommodation which includes a twin-bedded room with ensuite shower and loo, a further single bedroom which has its own entrance and shares a shower room with a self-contained studio apartment, with full kitchen, dining area and living space with seating, TV and a single bed.
All bedrooms on both floors have sea views.
The house is not suitable for small children or pets.

Please note, Min-y-Don is usually occupied by the owners over the Christmas period.
INCLUDED IN THE RENT:
* All towels, bed linens etc.
* Maid service, immediately before your arrival and 3 times per week during your stay.
(Additional maid service can be arranged, if required)
* All utilities, but we ask that you please conserve water and electricity!
* Transport to and from airport on arrival and departure.
* All government taxes.
* "Starter" provisions for your arrival: bread, butter, cheese, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, cold drinks.
* General household supplies.
* Local phone calls.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENT:
* Car hire.
* Long distance phone calls.
If you need to make long distance calls from the house, our agent on island will take an imprint of your credit card and you will be charged for your usage when the phone bill arrives.
* Food other than the basic provisions provided for your arrival.
* Any gratuity you may care to leave for Audrey, the maid.
RATES FOR 2006/2007
For 1 couple:
High Season (November 16th to April 15th): US$2,000 per week
Low Season (April 16th to November 15th): US$1,500 per week.
For each additional person, there is a charge of US$250 per week.
Periods of less than 7 nights are available with the rental calculated pro-rata
DEPOSIT:
A 50% deposit is required to confirm booking.
This can be paid by credit card to our house manager on island, or by bank transfer.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT:
The balance is payable either immediately before your arrival, or as soon as possible after your arrival on island.
REFUNDS:
If you have to cancel your booking for any reason once the deposit is paid, we will refund the deposit LESS 10% for administration IF the period booked is subsequently booked by someone else. If no other rental is secured for the period in question, the deposit will be non-refundable.
In the extremely unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking for any reason, your full deposit plus 10% will be refunded as soon as reasonably possible and we will make every effort to find alternative accommodation of a similar standard and cost for you. |
