Description Your home away from home is located on Up-Along Street midway between the Post Office and the Hope Town Lodge. Built to resemble the original Loyalist cottages in the area, Carissa Cottage is young 11 years old. Although the Bahamian builders made sure that all of the original charms befitting the 1800 saltbox colonial style cottages were included in the plans. The cottage?s focal point is the magnificent screened porch complete with Adirondack table and chairs, overlooking both Hope Town harbour and with views of the Atlantic ocean. Begin your day with morning coffee on the porch watching the harbour and settlement come to life while in the evening enjoy a sunset dinner on the porch as the activity in the harbour settles down and the magical lights from the settlement and harbour as well as the light from the historic Hope Town lighthouse sweeps across the sky warding ships of the nearby reefs. The beach and coral reefs for snorkeling are just across the street and down a flight of steps while if a boat is in your vacation plans the private dock just below the cottage is there for your use. Stroll through the settlement for convenient shopping, dinning and nighttime entertainment. For that special occasion take a two minute walk to the Hope Town Lodge and enjoy some of the finest dining on the island. Carissa Cottage is air conditioned but many guests prefer to open the windows and let the tropical breezes cool this hilltop location as they flow through the cottage. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and screened porch help circulate these tropical breezes. If cooking is your desire you will find the kitchen very well equipped for almost any of your needs along with a gas grill located on the side yard for all your grilling needs. The master bedroom has a king size bed with private bath; the downstairs bedroom has two twin beds which can be put together to form a king size bed with an adjoining bathroom. Daily rental rate is $285.00 with a minimum rental period of four days. Check in time is 2:00 PM and check out time is 10:00 AM. When possible, early arrivals and/or late departures will be accommodated based on availability. Payment Information: A 25% deposit is due with your reservation. An additional 25% payment is due 60 days from your reservation date. The balance due must be paid in full 90 days prior to your arrival date. If the reservation is made within the 90 days of your arrival date, total payment is due with your reservation. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 90 days or more from the arrival date will be fully refunded less a 10% handling fee.
