Lubbers Quarters, a
relatively undiscovered beauty is a private island tucked between
Great Abaco, Elbow and Tilloo Cayes (pronounced "keys") It Abounds
with historic lore from Blackbeard's buried treasure to tales of
gnome-like "Yahoos" who comb the beach looking for green bananas.

Lubbers, in the Bay of Abaco, is
surrounded by quaint islands, likened to a pastel version of
Martha's Vineyard. Nearby you will find fishing and boat building
villages, the famous Hope Town candystriped lighthouse, artist
colonies and the world renowned Sandy Cay Seapark.
You'll need a boat if you want to
explore the neighboring of Elbow Cay. |
